Dental Hygiene
Good dental hygiene and oral care habits are important at any age. You might find yourself wondering if your dental routine needs some tweaking, or if certain life changes have also caused changes in your mouth. Whether you have all of your original teeth, some of them or a full set of dentures, diligently caring for your mouth is just as important when you get older as it was when you were a child.
We have experienced dental hygienists in our dental team. They play a pivotal role in our practice, advising patients on oral hygiene and the prevention of dental problems. We recommend patients visit the dental hygienist every six months for oral care.

Brendan GormleyNot Great service the Dentist kept talking down the work he had to do by saying it might not work it may not be successful , I don't know how long this will last etc etc Yet his negativity and uncertainty was not reflecting in the Price i was charged almost €400.. It was as if he was looking for a get out of jail free card if his work wasn't good enoughTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()
Claire FrizeI have been going to Dr. Anna for the past 2 months she is absolutely brilliant she's is a true professional. I have had my teeth x-ray and checked I've also had a deep clean what a result afterwards and two fillings. I really hate the drilling but she is very gentle and professional. Thank youTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()
Ricky ConneelyNot recommended for composite bonding. Had replacement of composite bonding done on 3 teeth and bonding on a 4th in this dentist and the finish was very poor by the dentist. Left with a ledge on one of the bonded teeth and unable to floss between two others as the bonding was done too tight. The dentist seemed quite rushed in finishing the composite bonding appointment. Having previously had composite bonding done well, I do not recommend this dentists for composite bonding unless you’re prepared to return for fixes of poorly completed work. I had raised issues at the end of the appointment but dentist was dismissive. I didn’t have the opportunity to return to have it fixed due to travel and having to attend another dental practice to correct the work done in this dental practice. 1 stars for a nice place and friendly front desk staff, -4 stars for very poor amateur finish and expected better based on pricing which is standard.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Posted on Google![]()

FAQs
Gum Disease
Gum disease starts as gingivitis, which is the inflammation of the soft gum tissues supporting teeth attached to the jawbone. As the gingivitis progresses, periodontal disease develops in the underlying oral tissues.
Individuals may not notice symptoms of periodontal disease until it is quite advanced. Visits to the dental hygienist help identify gum inflammation and oral disease for treatment.
Bad breath
Bad breath is also called “halitosis” and is quite common. Those with bad breath may not realise they have the condition, but others they interact with may be aware of it. Our dental hygienists provide advice about bad breath, the causes and how to ensure fresh breath.
Poor Oral Care: Improper teeth cleaning, flossing or mouth rinsing may lead to excess bacterial growth, causing bad breath.
Smoking: Smoking causes dry mouth with tar and nicotine build-up in the mouth, which accentuates bad breath and discolours or stains teeth.
Diet: Certain food substances cause transient bad breath, such as garlic. Mouth rinses and mints help to remove the odour. Food debris trapped between teeth may cause smelly breath and be harmful to health.
Good dental hygiene
As an adult, you are not immune to dental problems. In addition to maintaining a good home care routine, the best thing you can do is to schedule regular dental checkups and professional cleanings. You also have a variety of cosmetic options available, including orthodontics (braces), whitening and bonding (veneers).
