About Blue Poppy Dental, Implants & Orthodontics
Founded in Donegal Town in 2010, Blue Poppy has grown from a local dental practice into a trusted dental group serving patients throughout Donegal and the Northwest. Our established Letterkenny practice on Pearse Road opened in 2019, and we are delighted to continue our growth with our new practice in Letterkenny Shopping Centre in 2026.
Across all our locations, our aim remains the same, to provide high-quality, personalised dental care in a calm and friendly environment. Our experienced team of dentists, hygienists and dental nurses work together to provide a comprehensive range of treatments.
Award-Winning Patient Care
At Blue Poppy, we believe that excellent dentistry is about more than treatment alone. It’s about building relationships and creating an environment where patients feel safe and supported.
We take the time to answer your questions, talk through your options and develop treatment plans around you, never taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our aim is simple: to make every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible, while helping you achieve and maintain a healthy, confident smile.
Dentistry Designed Around You
At Blue Poppy, we are particularly proud of the care and compassion shown by our team.
In 2025, Blue Poppy dentist Dr Lydia Dydyn was named the Ulster Regional Winner of the Colgate Caring Dentist of the Year Award. The award recognised her exceptional, patient-centred care of her patients.
For us, this recognition represents something that has always been at the heart of Blue Poppy: taking the time to listen, build trust and make every patient feel safe, respected and cared for.
Wherever you visit us, you’ll find the same commitment to personal, compassionate
dental care.
